PPD (Hair Dye) allergy - Can I get a tattoo?

Does anyone on here have a PPD (hair dye) allergy and have been able to get tattooed without a reaction? I’ve talked to a couple of tattoo artists and they recommended a dot test, but I’ve done a patch test with hair dye and had a good experience with the patch test and then reacted to the dye once it was covering my scalp. 🙁 I have also been told that it depends on the ink. I’ve reached out to a few different ink companies and haven’t heard back. I’d appreciate if anyone could share their experience! I’d love some ink but don’t want to have a bad reaction. ☹️
