I think my husband resents me for this

My mother in law has to move out her home. It was a rental and the owners sold it, so now the new owners are moving in.

Since day one she's been hinting, and outright saying too, that she wants to come live with us. And I said no from day one. We don't get along, she hasn't earned a place in the home we're paying for, nothing.

But I've been sending my husband links to other very nice rental places and he's just like, oh it doesn't matter what he does. She's just going to throw in his face that we didn't allow him to move here. And I'm like, exactly like all the other shit she does? And he says that no this will make it worse.

I'm sitting here thinking why does he care so much. His mom gave him her car because she didn't want it anymore and my husband doesn't have his own car. Then like a month later she says no she rather wants to give it to one of her other kids because he ALSO doesn't have a car. So like, first if all that's pretty crappy. Then my husband bought his brother a plane ticket, he MISSED the flight, his mom then paid three times the price for the next flight and his brother just took the car and left. Literally, didn't even offer her lunch or anything! And she goes crying to my husband about it! And I'm telling my husband if she wants to keep backing the wrong horse then why must you be insulted with having to pick up the pieces!

Anyway, I just think my husband resents me because my empathy cup is running low and I'm not changing my mind on her coming here.
