Doing wife things on a gf level

I have heard more and more women lately talk about how they will not do wife level things as a gf.

I personally do not understand where they are coming from. If you are with a partner that you see a future with, why restrict the way you behave around them and the things you do for them.

A few examples I have heared is not cooking for your partner, not buying them things (like presents), not moving in with them even after years of knowing them etc.

I personally see this as a bit of a manipulative mindset, where you withhold a certain action, to pressure your partner to into doing something you want, even if they are not ready (but I might also just be overthinking it).

Or aswell as there beeing a hope that beeing married will automatically change the security you have in a relationship.

I also do understand if there are some personal or religious reasons that would prevent a person from beeing physical or mooving in with a partner.

But I would like to hear your opinion on this and even things you would not do as a gf and only as a wife if you have any.
