Does birth control mess up your period?

I've changed my birth control 2 times and NOT ONCE did I ever get a late period and now that I'm on a different pill my period is late but I've taken 2 pregnancy tests before my period and they came back negative.. idk if I took the tests too early (1 that was 8 days early and another that was 2 days early) but now I'm officially late on my period but idk if I should take another test or hope my period comes by next month.

Switching birth controls can definitely impact your cycle, typically on a short term basis. Unless you have other reasons to think you may be pregnant, I’d just wait and see.

Birth control messes with your cycle. I'm not sure which one you are on but certain birth controls take away your periods entirely, while some give periods twice a month (the worst case scenario). Plenty have normal cycles so it all depends on your body. It's highly unlikely you are pregnant unless you forgot to take the pill or took certain antibiotics that decrease its effectiveness. In that case I'd be worried.

Yes! I think it depends on person and brand of course, but one of the pills i took in the past, would shorten my periods to 3 days and it was super light bleeding. It was amazing. But when i stopped taking it, i was 42 days late 😳. Straight up thought i was pregnant but nope, just the birth control.
