Toddler potty training himself

Been putting off potty training for months because i had lots to do. For months he started mentioning he needed to go after he was done but i was still not ready to take on active training. But today he told me he needed to go first thing in the morning. Sth he has never done as he is usually still sleepy when he wakes up. Then i remembered he had no accident yesterday. Last week i was wiping him and he pulled the wipe from me and tried to wipe himself. Am so excited.

Feel like he is doing it at his pace and naturally it takes away stress from me as it is one less thing to do.

If he goes a week with no accident, i will ditch the diapers during the day. Of course for hygiene purposes, i will still go in with him to make sure he wipes and washes hands well.

Am just so proud.
