Can you be induced if you ask your doctor ?

I thought that if you wanted to be induced you can ask your doctor and they would do it as long as your baby was healthy !? I guess not I wanna be induced but I don't know if my doctor will induce me should I ask !?? Or i should I just wait till she's ready ?

Any time you induce labor you increase the odds of having a c-section, which is why doctors don't typically induce prior to 40 weeks.

My dr asked me if I wanted to be induced...no other dr ever asked me that before...I wanted to have her before the year is over...so we will be getting induced December 30th at 4:30 am

You can ask my ob. They gave me an ultrasound at 37 weeks to see how much baby weighs plus the position she is in. After that I scheduled my induction for exactly 39 weeks. My doctor doesn't do nonmedical inductions before 39 weeks however I think that is a big thing

With my first and this one my dr has asked me what I wanted to do .. 2 different dr's in two different states ... It should be completely up too you its your child and your birthing plan I'm going to be induced with this one because with my 1st it made things so much easier knowing what was coming ... Being prepared ... I was only in labor for 5 hours ... Most induced pregnancies go a lot faster then just waiting until baby is ready as long as baby is full term  ... In my opinion

I was induced at 40+3 and everything went perfect. 9 hours of labor & 10 mins pushing IF THAT. If you want to be induced and Doctor says ok, go for it!

I asked my doctor and she said of course! She said I could be induced up to a week before my due date. Some doctors are for it and some are against it.

I asked to be induced but they will only induce me if i go past my due date.. So at my next appointment its up for talk but my due date isnt until that saturday. Theres to high of a risk for a c-section.

You can asked to be induced but normally they won't until after 40 weeks. If your pregnancy is healthy then there is no reason to be induced. I know being pregnant is tough and you just want your baby here but the longer your little baby cooks the better 😊

My doctor would not induce until I was 41 weeks. I made the appointment, but then my daughter came on her own a couple of days before. I was happy. I read stats before saying that induced births have a higher rate of c-section, and I was trying to avoid that.
