Did you love your second kid as much as your first?

Nah, for real.
I KNOW parents have their favorites, dont even lie. Be honest!! Do you feel the same or similar towards your second child?
I love my 1st kid so much that I think it’s impossible that I’m gonna love and care as much for my second… I kinda feel guilty that I have to split the attention with another child but my husband wanted another kid so I couldn’t abort…

I love all of my kids equally. There isn't one I love more. Do I have a favorite? Yes. But that's based on current behavior so it changes constantly. One day it could be my oldest one day it could be my youngest. But that doesn't mean on that day that I love my other kids less

I felt that way about my second. It made it hard to connect with him while I was pregnant but damn I love him so much too 😂 I don't think I could truly chose a favorite out of the two. I love them each in their own way. They're just different kids and I can't even compare.

I honestly do not have favorites. There are amazing and not so amazing things about each one.
I love my kids equally. I feel like when you favorite a child you cause damage to the personalities of your children. I was my dads favorite and it made my sister jealous and bitter against me. 
Don't favor children. Love each one of them unconditionally.

You’ll be surprised! I thought the same thing before my 2nd was born and I absolutely love her to death. And now I’m onto my 3rd and my love for the other two hasn’t changed

My daughter and I went through something incredibly traumatic in the hospital and I actually worried I would feel like this about her to the point it was noticeable to our first. Thankfully it isn’t but I had extreme anxiety over leaving her when it wasn’t an issue with our first. I think people have different relationships with their kids for a number of reasons...their age, neediness, personalities, etc. The important thing is you don’t play favorites and show them both love.

This is my fear as well! Originally I wanted three kids. My first is 5 months, and I'm like...but he's so perfect how could I possibly love another child?? And I don't want to do anyone a disservice. Everyone's assured me that that's a normal feeling and someone how your heart just grows and you equally love your other children. I'm calling bs until it happens lol.

I was worried about this with my second and my mom said “it just works. It just does. You’ll see”
And it really does just work. When the second is born your heart will expand. It literally felt like my heart burst when she got pulled out.

I love my two kids the same.  However my son is younger so I do feel I give him most attention because he’s not has independent as my oldest. If I buy something for one kid the other gets something as well. I feel horrible on days that my oldest is at school and me and my youngest go grab a bite fo eat. I just feel like no I need to have both kids here with me.
