😭 All My (Sheet) Music is Gone! 😭

This feels like a silly thing to ask... but earlier this week, I decided to try to get back into practicing piano (many months after a big move cross-country) only to find that I can't find my music books. Any of them. I had them all in a 2" or 3" hardcover 3-ring binder with several music books, and pages and pages [and pages] of sheet music. Some for piano and some trumpet. I've looked all over for it, twice... but I can't find it. 😭 I even asked a friend who is friends with the owners of our old house to see if they came across it in the stuff we had to leave behind, but couldn't get out of the house in time. No luck. They said whatever was left behind is gone. 😭 I don't understand how such an important thing got left behind.

Ladies, music is a big part of me, so the loss has affected me more than, say, accidentally leaving a couple paintings behind... which happened too. I feel like I've lost a part of myself. 😭 So much music just... lost. I can't even describe the... emptiness... that I feel when I think about or feel like playing something, but then remember my book of books is gone.

I don't sing, so the way I express things, in the musical realm, is by playing music (piano, trumpet, ukulele, are my current pursuits.) I suppose, in a metaphysical sense, it's like I've lost an [arm/leg/sight/hearing/etc.] I almost feel... crippled without my music books. (I'm not yet at a point where I can just fiddle around without anything to work from.)

I feel silly crying over a stack of paper... but I can't help it. Please pray it gets recovered... or perhaps all of the music books replaced (although I can't remember the names of all the music books I had in it.)
