Can you travel after you have a transfer?

We’re hoping our transfer will be in the middle of April. My bestie just called and asked me to be her Matron of Honor (she lives out of state) in May. Do you think my doctor will say it’s okay for me to travel or will she say it’s not recommended. Obviously if I can’t travel, then I would have to decline to be in her wedding.

I went on a 4 hour flight a week after my transfer and then back again a week after. Asked my clinic prior and they said it’s absolutely fine as long as I stay hydrated and take Covid precautions. I’m now 23 weeks pregnant with twins from that transfer.

I think the only thing that might come up is if it interfered with those early appointments. After beta tests i went in at 6 and 8 weeks for ultrasounds. But my RE cleared me to travel at 9 weeks for my brother’s wedding before I had my 10 week appt with the regular OB.

I didn’t fly right after my transfer but I was going to fly (trip got cancelled) around 10 weeks and my doctor was going to make me wear this lead belt because he said the altitude can interfere with early pregnancy. I would ask your doctor and do whatever you feel comfortable with.

Yes absolutely you can fly. It's a blessing to have something to occupy the mind and fill the days after a transfer!

I flew for my transfer as my embryos are out of state. Barring anything extravagant occurring for you, I don't see why you couldn't.
