Returning back to work ….

So I’m due back to work 3/10… I talked with my manager in January about remote work and she stated “ wish I could but everyone else will want to and I can’t” meanwhile she was working from home. Since, I’ve been filling out applications having interviews & just waiting to here back from someone. She texted me Friday and said “we are waiting on your return, what day will you be back”. I don’t want to go back because right now I’m just uncomfortable sending my child to daycare. Im not sure if I should basically let her know I will not be retuning, go in 2 weeks and send my resignation letter, or tell her I will come in on my due date back but I will only be there for 2 weeks. What would or how would you tell her professional??
