Flower bush ideas, help!

So I'm looking to put some flower bushes along a fence I have and 2 in front of my house. I love roses and unique looking flowers! What all do you guys suggest?

This is my first time ever doing this, and my first summer in our new home so I'm very exicted!

Edit to add- this is where they will be. The bushes that are there now are no longer there (taking down by previous owners) and I want to do something different. Red marks is all open and the purple mark is where a bush sits
