Help found out I have HPV

So I've been in a relationship for about 2 years, in 2018 I had a pap smear that was normal and haven't slept with anybody until my new partner. My partner also states that he has not slept with anybody else since 2018. But my recent pap smear indicates that I now have HPV along with BV. Everywhere online indicates that HPV typically goes away within 1 to 2 years with that being said is it pretty likely that my boyfriend cheated on me? Or have you all experienced anything different having it longer or getting it way later in a relationship from a partner who had it I know there's no way for men to find out if they have it or not so I have no way of telling if I gave it to him or if he gave it to me. But I am certain that I haven't been with anybody else since my previous relationship.
