Early period

So I need some answers. My period (or what I assume is it) started 10 days early which for me is odd because I have had easy 26 day cycles ever since I was 18. It started out as light intermittent spotting for a couple of days then got a slightly heavier gush last night and stopped over night then another one this morning. It started out black then turned more to a lighter pink and is back to a darker red. Thank you to anyone who can give me some advice!
