When did first take baby out first time during pandemic ?

I’m about to be a first time mom and I’m just wondering when did you mommas take your baby out for the first time in the pandemic? I mean at like a restaurant. I don’t have a problem with running errands when baby gets here like the supermarket, pharmacy runs stuff like that cause I will be buying a car seat/stroller combo and I plan on using a car seat cover when I’m out in public but my problem is my birthday will be about 6weeks or so after baby is here and my family and I usually go to dinner at a restaurant and I’m definitely not leaving baby at home so I’m just trying to decide if I should just have them cancel it or not

I’ve always taken my babies out early. The earlier you do it, the easier it is. We’ve always returned to church within about 3 weeks and probably a restaurant by then. My last was born right as everything shut down for Covid, so we couldn’t go anywhere, and I would have been more cautious. But I think everything opened back up when she was about 6-8 weeks old and we went places. Just be cautious, but don’t be overly nervous. I think it would be fine to take baby to your birthday dinner. If you’re not ready, have dinner with your family at your house

I had my 3rd Dec 2021 and he’l goes everywhere with us. Restaurants, my kids gymnastics classes, grocery store, kids play places, etc. i was only super Paranoid taking my 2nd child out early because she was born May 2020 when COVID just started. I’m just careful but I can’t not go to these places with my kids

I ended up with a 4th degree tear with my daughter so we didn’t go out to eat until she was a month old. But if everything goes fine this time around we’ll probably be going out right away to a few weeks

I actually kept my first home away from the public longer than my second. My first was pre pandemic. My second is 4 months old. It wasn’t that I wasn’t just as concerned as the first time either. It just happened to be the time of year where I needed to do things. I didn’t take her to a restaurant before 8 weeks though except Dunkin’ Donuts to meet a friend that was visiting for the first time in 10 years. In public even now, I keep her car seat cover zipped up or I wear her. Your baby will be fine at a restaurant. Baby will probably sleep. Or you could ask your family to reschedule for a couple weeks later if that would make you feel better.

At 9 days old we went to our friends daughters first birthday party.

I took my son at 6 weeks. Baby will be fine in a restaurant bring car seat in put a cover over it and everything will be fine

I agree with other commenter. Have him watch the baby if he can. I wouldn’t take my baby out that early especially while eating. Sometimes it gets crazy and you can’t predict if they’ll cry a lot or sleep a lot. Def didn’t take my daughter out to eat until she was able to eat with us months later. And this was before pandemic

I personally think this would be a great time for your hubby to watch baby and you to spend some time at restaurant with family for an hour and a half …. 
Personally my daughter turned 3 months March 2020 … so the second I mentally was ready to go out with babe literally the world shut down and I freaked out sooooo for me we literally started restaurant at about a year before I felt ya know not as scared …. 
This time I’m waiting 6weeks - 2months before using my zoo membership on WEEKDAYS not weekends with my toddler … I’m sure she will be stir crazy and we can park etc
