Arm hair loss postpartum?

Question

I am about 5 months post partum. My hair has been shedding like crazy, and I've been having hot flashes. I know this can all be normal. I noticed I have lost alot of arm hair.
 I called my OB to ask for blood work in case something is off and they said this is normal within the 1st year so if this is still happening after 1 year we can check into it. 
I haven't heard of arm hair loss being normal. Has anyone else experienced this?

I lost my arm hair and leg hair too. Even eight years after having my daughter, it hasn’t grown back. My thyroid is fine so we don’t know why.

Losing so much hair on my head every day. Very normal. I take hair vitamins but it doesn’t do much. Just the change in hormones. It will pass

Omg, I just looked at my arms and I have hardly any hair on them!!! Lol. I never even thought about my arm hair. I’ve been shedding so bad my hair on my head looks like a golf course. It’s so bad I clogged the tub. We eat my hair for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It totally grossed my husband out when he finds one. 😂 ugh. Postpartum is a bitch. I also don’t remember shedding this much after I had my girl.

I have not experienced ark hair shedding but with baby #2 I lost a ton of my eyelashes in addition to the hair on my head. So I don't think it's abnormal to lose hair places other than your scalp.
