Significant other vs Animal

What would you do if your significant other asks “what are you going to do about the cat if we move in together?”

Granted, he’s been to my place 100+ times, and not died.

He is somewhat allergic to cats. He sneezes alot and has trouble breathing SOMETIMES. Not all times.

I told him I would compromise if we moved in together by not letting my cat on couches, beds, etc. (however possible that is). He will not be allowed in certain rooms. But I will absolutely no way give my cat up because of him.

I will also add that his ex wife had 2 cats which he lived with.

Does anyone have any better advice than what I’m already going to do?
