Early labor pains? Help

Question

This is my third pregnancy, I started having intense stomach cramps/ lower back pain around 7pm today. They’ve stayed consistent, and come every 7-8 minutes lasting 1.5 min. Im Also having pressure in my vagina and rectum, as if I have to go to the bathroom.. I Called my doctor and he advised me to drink a lot of water and take Tylenol… I took Tylenol around 9pm and fell asleep for about 30 min.. but woke up to more intense cramping and pain. 
Not sure if these are early labor signs or just normal pregnancy pains.. input???

UPDATE: after 14 hours of pains I went into L&D. I am indeed having contractions, and dialated to a 2. They sent me home to rest and I’ll be checked again in the morning. Praying my little boy continues to cook, for atleast another week.

I’ve had this happen this pregnancy and it fizzled out luckily. I was only 34 weeks when it happened. I did dilate to 1cm through it but it eventually stopped. Now every night they come back and just ignore them and go to sleep. I’ll get woken up by them 4 or so times but then I talk myself Off the ledge and go back to sleep.

I had all of that but they were 4-5 minutes apart and I went to the hospital they got about 3 minutes apart. I didn’t dilate further so I was sent home but I found out it was mostly due to an undiagnosed case of very mild bv. They gave me Tylenol and a bag of fluids and that seemed to help. I would make sure you are drinking lots and lots of water and if possible take Tylenol.

Sounds like it could be. Keep timing! Definitely give somebody a call if they become more frequent.
