Would you change the size of your family if external factors (i.e. money, space, etc.) weren’t an issue?

I was an only child and I had 1 child for 12 years and realize I wanted him to have siblings. Also he started asking for siblings the more he got older so then we had another one, now that the second is 4 we’re pregnant with the third.

We were so sure we were done when I was pregnant with our second. After he was born, my husband had I started thinking about having a third. We're still very much on the fence about having another. My main hesitation is that I really hate being pregnant and being postpartum. It's a solid two years that I don't feel like myself so it's tough to want to go through all of that again.

My biggest external factors are career and age. If they weren’t factors, I think I would consider more kids, but honestly I don’t know for sure. I’m due with #2 soon and hope for a #3 someday. I also can’t get over that you can’t fit more than a family of 5 in a sedan if necessary. 😆

I have 4 kids. I can’t imagine why anyone would wish they didn’t have one or more of their kids after they have already had them...I’d wish for my circumstances to be different, but not the existence of my child/children. I could be completely broke, but I wouldn’t wish I didn’t have kids or less of them, cause I already have them, and have a relationship and deep love for them...(if that makes sense) if I wanted to change the size of my family, it would be to have more kids, not less. The ones I already have, are a life, and a life I gave birth to, and I wouldn’t trade them for the world, or more money.

2 is perfect for us! I'm done being physically pregnant and the sleep deprivation is not my favorite either.

I have 2 kids and I’d love at least a 3rd. It’s in the plans for when we get a bigger place and my youngest gets a little older

I'm pregnant with my 3rd and I'm done. I'm tired of the baby phase and being pregnant. Plus financially, I think 3 is going to be best for us. We had originally talked about 4 but it just isn't what's best for our family. I'm very happy to have only 3 though 😆

If I could have 5 before I turned 35 I would have. But I refuse to get pregnant after 35. No saying it doesn't work for those who do, just I know my life plan and it doesn't include having less freedom in my late 50's. So, that's all I'd change. Looks like 4 is going to be it for us.

We only have one! I originally wanted two, but when I gave birth to my sweet boy (7 weeks early) I had such bad complications that I almost died twice. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and it was the hardest thing I've ever mentally or physically done. It's 4 months later and I'm still healing but he is thriving 😊
