Should I be bothered ?

The guy I’m currently dating was engaged before me. He broke everything off early 2021 and him and I started dating in the end of December. 
He makes music, and here lately he’s been singing heart break songs. Then today he posted/putting out a song   about her leaving. Should I be bothered ? I honestly feel like he’s not 110% over it. When we first started dating he would talk about it a lot until I said something. Now months down the road this happens and his friends still bring it up.

Well engagement is a big thing and it probably meant his ex played a big role in his life. I what he says and how he says it matters. I’d have an honest conversation bringing up the songs, the lyrics, the conversations about her etc and figure out where his head is

He might still be orocessig the emotions. Maybe he needed more time to get over it before starting with someone else... but you know men lol.
If its any confort, songs take forever to write and record. So even if hes releasing now, it could be music he created months ago when he felt those emotions, but its only getting finalized now.
Also, he could write about it being her that left him just to make a song work better or more dramatic, even if its not exactly based on his life
