Does castor oil work? I’m about 40 weeks- not dilated at all… cervix not fully softened. I’ve walked, bounce on the ball ALL day, sex… I’m SO done!!!!

Dont do it, the risks arent worth the reward. Just wait and if the baby doesn’t come then let your doctor/midwife make the call. I am 41wks today with my second and going in at midnight to get the vaginal pill to dilate my cervix. I had no feelings of anything until 40+1 and since then ive had constant contractions. It sucks waiting but its better than anything else.

Please don't be so silly. Baby will come when they're ready. You're 40 weeks, not 42, so try relax. The night I went into labour I had been for a huge walk. I walked until I didn't think I'd make it home. Possibly a coincidence 😀

I have a friend who has done it all 3 of her pregnancies at 39 weeks and it worked each time. Some people swear by it some people against it. I personally do not feel comfortable trying it because of the unknown.
