What +GBs mean ?and the group b?

I don’t know what that means if I never got tested GRoup B strep ? I haven’t gotten blood drawn since more than 8 weeks ago

They test for it with a swab, not a blood draw. It could be done during a pap or cultures easily and you might not notice of they don't tell you. Idk how far along you are, but carriers of groupB often have it, then don't, then have it again.. So it's likely they wouldn't say anything just yet if you're not that far along. However after 36 weeks if you're still testing positive for group B strep, there is a potential during vaginal delivery the bacteria could spread to baby. All that happens is they give you some IV antibiotics while you're in labor to prevent the spread. The only real difference between someone who's positive and someone who isn't is the Dr wants you to go to the hospital sooner, like especially if your water breaks, so that they can administer those IV antibiotics

Even if they didnt do the swab, they tested your urine and it came back positive with Group B. What has your doctor said?
