Suddenly sore painful breasts?

My breadt have not been sore since first trimester. I'm 35 weeks and woke up with horrible breast tenderness. A few weeks ago dr told me baby could come around Chrisymas. Since then I've had contractions that were stopped at labor and delivery with shots. Could this along with more contractions be s sign that she may be coming soon?
