Would you start trying this year or wait?

Question

My husband and I have a 6 year old daughter and a 1 year old daughter (exactly 12 months). We want a third (a boy but we'd be thrilled with a third girl), but unsure if our last 2 should be close in age or further apart.
If I got pregnant next month, Id have 2 under 2 with a 7 year old.
I also worry the last 2 will be closer and our oldest will feel left out if they're so close.
I also haven't lost baby weight from baby #2 yet. So if I got pregnant right away I would feel pretty gross and nothing would fit, but if I lose the weight I'll be starting over again. 
What would you do?

Just depends on what you want.
I feel like our bodies betrays us in a way. When we want pregnancy, it takes a while. When we don’t want it, it happens in a instant.
I wouldn’t start trying until you’re fully ready for another baby

I would say start when you feel comfortable, there is no guarantee as to how long it could take you to conceive again. I started trying for #2 when my daughter was 7 mo, my son will be born when my daughter is 2y8mo, it took us almost a year and a half to have a successful pregnancy and had 3 losses in that time, it wasn’t until we gave up trying and decided to just be happy with our daughter and focus on her that I got pregnant successfully, and I still worry that i won’t make it to the end of this pregnancy at 17 weeks.

Would you start trying this year or wait?
