Breastfeeding on demand

Those who breastfed their babies on demand. I want start giving my 3 month old a bottle a day to get used to bottles so if I leave her with daddy she won’t refuse it. But because I feed her on demand (she doesn’t take a dummy) and feed her to sleep. I’m not sure what to advice my partner on when to feed her because she uses me to soothe on too so her cues may be hard to work out for him. How did your little ones adjust to being without you? Any advice/tips. Was going to start with having a trip into town and leave him to look after her for a while to start off with to see how he gets on.
