My husband has a question

My husband’s cousin sent him a message after seeing a pic of our sons. She said, “they look just like you” and he is asking how do you respond to that. I said I’d take it was a complement and say thanks (the kids are cute af and he’s gorgeous 🤷🏾‍♀️ I could be biased). He says but what if the other person doesn’t think you’re good looking or if they’re mocking you?

Is saying “they look like you” a good thing? What’s your response when someone says your child looks like you or their father?

Update: Thanks for taking the time to respond. We just finished reading the comments. As I’m reading them, he lowers his head and says “Damn. I knew I was complicated”. He’s just going to say thanks.
