AITA? Husband’s not caring for toddler’s teeth properly

I just had a baby 6 weeks ago, and we’re still adjusting. I’m usually exhausted by the end of the day, so my husband holds her while I brush my teeth for bed. Then he plops her in bed with me, and we nurse nurse nurse before bed. We have a toddler who is 2.5, and a dog who is 16ish. We all sleep in the same room together, and I find it easier to keep the newborn asleep if she’s sleeping before everyone else is. So while I’m nursing her to bed (clusterfeeding), husband is with toddler doing their “ready for bed” routine. Gets her an overnight diaper, brushes her teeth, reads a couple books. He also lets the dog out, and medicates him (needs liquid antibiotic for life, but he’s only 8lbs, so tiny). Then he fills a humidifier to help us all sleep better.

My issue is my toddler’s teeth. I looked at them, and they look like CORN! They’re so yellow, and I can scrape the tartar off with my fingernail. I am LIVID! We use a Sonicare toothbrush, and toddler toothpaste. When I was brushing them, I would also take a baby washcloth to her gums and tongue every night to be sure I was getting everything super clean. I’d look with a flashlight and be sure I didn’t see any tartar, because she eats crackers and fruits and stuff. I told him I’m super upset and disappointed at the state of her teeth, and this isn’t the first time. I took my thumbnail to her tooth and I could see blood collecting in the tissue on her gumline. I told him he’s neglectful, and this is ridiculous. He told me he just didn’t have enough “time” at night to do it. Idgaf if it’s 11pm or 2am, you brush your kid’s teeth properly, because that’s YOUR responsibility and fault if her teeth start rotting. And she wakes up with BREATH, not normal morning breath stink, but some real funk that honestly smells like poop. This never happened when I was caring for her teeth, but now i’m caring for a newborn all night and morning, so I thought I could lean on him. AITA??
