How long did you bleed PP?

I had a c section, and they told me that I would bleed for 6 weeks. When I went in for my PP appointment they asked if I started my period yet. How do I know if I'm still bleeding from the operation or if I started my period? I did stop bleeding for like, 2 days then started again. Anyone have this happen to you?

Vaginal birth, I bled for about 3.5 weeks.

I had a vaginal delivery, I bled and spotted for 11 days then had the yellowish white lochia until 2 weeks pp. I got lucky with mine not lasting very long!

With my c section I only bled for 3.5 weeks and then it stopped. My OB said it depends on your activity level though. So you could have just over done it

Postpartum bleeding can be on and off. I bled for a total of 6 weeks and would have a few days of light or no bleeding in between heavy bleeds.
A true period occurs approximately 12-16 days after ovulation. If you have not ovulated, you have not had a period. The only way to know for sure if you’re ovulating is to track your BBT. I personally use TempDrop for this purpose to help me avoid pregnancy while breastfeeding (we use protection until ovulation is over and confirmed with BBT).

With my vaginal delivery I was told anything bleeding 6 weeks and before is pp bleeding and anything after 6 weeks would be a period. I stopped bleeding at 5 weeks and got my period at 7 weeks. I just started tracking it from there to really make sure it was a period.
