Bridesmaid with a 4 week old newborn.

L

I was asked to be in my sister-in-law's wedding almost two years ago. Her fiance is Canadian so the wedding was delayed massively due to immigration and covid. If they had it their way they would have been married 18 months ago! So of course we couldn't say anything when they finally were able to set a date for June 3, my due date is May 9. My last baby came very near my due date and I have no reason to expect this one to be different. We live in the Midwest and will be flying to CA for the wedding (my doctor already said if everyone is healthy and things go normally he sees no reason why we can't go.)

My biggest problem is what to do about a bra. I breastfed exclusively with my last baby and hope to again this time. We purchased our bridesmaid dresses well before I was pregnant. Here are the pictures of my dress. I would have just worn it without a bra, but when I'm lactating if I go braless I leak EVERYWHERE. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do about this? I've always been a buythesametypeofbra for years kind of girl so need help...dont really know what options are out there 😅I think it's too low in the back for a typical bra.

Also, if anyone has tips for breastfeeding through wedding festivities, let me know :P I'm sure we'll be dressed for several hours before the wedding for photos and then obviously a few hours after for the reception. Thankfully my husband will be not be "in" the wedding and will be available to help with the baby, but I also don't want to mess around with bottles because I will need to pump just for comfort every few hours anyway and that's more of a pain in the butt than just feeding the baby.

Also taking tips for plane travel with a newborn. We are leaving our other kids at home with grandma thankfully :)

Thanks for your help!
