Monster-In-Law

Anyone else have one. Please tell me I'm not alone here.

I thought I was going to have an awesome mother-in-law. When my husband and I started dating she was so nice and accepting of me. Through the wedding stuff she was pretty great. Just let me do my thing the way I wanted. When we told her we were expecting again she was so happy for us. A few months ago my husband and I moved out of state about 3 hours away. Moved to be closer to my family. Did that because we knew we would have a better life and we were right. Better job and better hours. I get more time with my husband, all our friends are here, my family is so close and supportive, and financially more stable. Best decision we could of made for OUR growing family. Since moving she has treated me like crap. She blames me and saying I'm selfish for moving her son. She just can't look at the bigger picture and realize we did what we thought was best for our family. Today she called and told us not to come for Christmas!!! Her words to my husband. "Don't bother coming for Christmas just stay there with "Princess" and her family.

I understand she is sad her son moved away but how is being nasty to me making the situation any better?

So she is really going to not spend Christmas with her son cause we moved months ago.

Trying not to let this stress me and baby out but it's hard cause I really do try to have a good relationship with her. I what her to be included in our daughters life.
