Hoping someone could shed some light on this.

I had my blood drawn for this test at 10w1d. Results came back yesterday saying 77.6% positive for Downs Syndrome. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around this. I just turned 34 last month and I have absolutely no family history of Downs in my family and neither does my husband. The test says it was solely based on maternal age and gestational age.

MD is now recommending an amniocentesis, which I will not do, because I don’t find it worth the risk when it won’t change my decision about anything, but I am kinda worried about it.

Anyone else who has taken this test with similar results care to share their experience? Thank you!
