Why would my bf look this up?

I borrowed his phone earlier today to search something on google and I saw in his recent searches that he searched “things you should figure out before marrying”. We have only been together for a year and when I’ve brought up the future he kinda seems to avoid talking about it so why do you think he’d look this up?

He could be having a moment in life, I just had another friend of mine who is 38, he finally moved out on his own, and he’s feeling like he’s missed out on things in life by being home with his family, he looks around and sees his friends all married with kids, settle down, having careers, etc. and he is in a different place, and he feels like he’s already missed his opportunity being 38. Your boyfriend may be going to the same thing, realizing he may or may not have his ducks in a row, have money saved, the ideal job, or career, retirement account, whatever things you feels. Are necessary to have before you even think about getting married. He may be looking for excuses, he may be questioning his own life and goals and the direction his life is going, he may be thinking about marriage, he may not be thinking about marriage, he may be looking at his friends and realizing how much they screwed up, and he’s trying to be preventative himself, he may just be having an eye-opening moment like my friend. And realizes his life is not on track the way other people are and he’s trying to figure things out himself. Don’t overthink it, don’t think he’s going to propose tomorrow, don’t think anything, just go with the flow like you never saw it. ￼￼

I’d say that he’s considering it & thinking about it lately but he’s not 100% sure yet. He wants to make sure everything is “all set & ready” for himself before he decides to make a big decision like that. Which is honestly a good thing!

My bf and I thought we were ready to marry the first 2 years of our relationship. 6 years later we still haven’t married and we’re still perfectly fine.. we don’t pressure each other into having kids or getting married and that’s perfectly fine 😊
