Will I need it..

Hi ladies. I want to share this because I’m just not sure. On March 10th I had started leaking. I assumed it was discharge and didn’t think nothing of it. It leaked of and on until the 16th. At 1am I went into the er due to bleeding quite a bit. They did the ultrasound my sons heartbeat was in the 160s.. when they checked me they had informed me I was already 6cm dilated and I was admitted. They gave me 3 options. One of which was trying to wait until I reached 23 weeks. That is what I chose because even though I was 6cm dilated I couldn’t give up on my son who had a strong heartbeat. At 4pm I started gushing which was my water. They had checked me again and I was at 10cm dilated. I had absolute no type of pain or felt anything. In fact I was asleep a part of the time. They had told me we wait until I feel pressure whick I never felt. Finally at 830pm I pushed my son out and he was with me 30 mins until he passed. The drs told me few times that I had an incompetent cervix and if or when I get pregnant again I would need a cerclage. I want to learn everything I can about this and if it’s something I would need.
