When hosting a get together at your house with family, do you wear shoes?

Please don’t be mean. I am serious. Am I supposed to wear shoes? I’ve hosted family gathering for every holiday for years and I’m usually barefoot because, well, that’s how I walk around my house, but should I instead have shoes on? I don’t know why I’m suddenly paranoid about this. It’s just my immediate family (husband, son, daughter), my mom, sister, and sisters fiancé.

I do not. I don’t want people wearing shoes in my house so I don’t wear them at other peoples houses.

All shoes off at the door. I don't want nasty shoes walking through my house haha. I don't like being barefoot so in the summer I have a dedicated pair of flip flops that act as slippers. They never see the light of day.

I’m not picky about shoes. My floors are already dirty and I have pets. I’d rather my kids wear socks or shoes than their feet get all furry all the time. 
If y’all think you bring nasty shit in on your shoes and you have pets, I hope you’re scrubbing their paws each time they go outside and come in.

You can if you want. I'm back and forth if I wear shoes or not in my house with people over. Depends how I feel are if I'm gonna be standing for a long time then the extra padding helps my feet not hurt so fast.

When we had carpet, shoes were off at the door. Now that our house is wood flooring and we often do indoor and outdoor parties it's up to the guest 🤷‍♀️ if they're staying for extended periods of time we provide slippers. But Ive just made it a habit to always ask the host what they prefer. It's not a big deal to ask. 😊

So i usually take my shoes off just because its comfortable but it is dependent on event too. If its a relaxed get together i take my shoes off if its a special get together ill keep them on.
