8 months - Sensory

I’m not even sure how to accurately explain this but for as long as I can remember my baby has been so… sensory? I don’t know the word other than that. But the main thing I’m wondering if anyone else has is that whenever she gets “nervous” or really whenever I or someone gets up close and tries to “talk” to her she grabs whatever is close by and bites down. It’s always her first reaction. Is she showing signs of being just shy or something else? I am a first time mom so please don’t judge me I really am just wondering. My nephew has autism and I am constantly comparing what I remember he did as a baby with her. Not that I think she has it but sometimes it crosses my mind like “what if…” She is using his old chew toys because they are harder. She seems to get more satisfaction from harder teethers. Anyways. She’s literally putting her mouth on everything. Even as I write this she’s trying to chew my foot.
