Clomid- 50mg or 100mg? 🤔

Any advice is much appreciated…

I have a daughter that’s 2 years old. However we have been trying for a second for 13 months now with no success. We are about to start month 14 and after all my and my husband’s testing came back normal my doctor prescribed Clomid 100mg.

I’m nervous. I want a baby so badly, but I am absolutely terrified of twins. Should I start with 50mg Clomid instead ? I already ovulate on my own.

Well, I’m fairly certain I do. I get blazing OPKs every month and I have horrible ovulation pains so I interpret this as a sign of ovulation (I don’t bbt which I know is how you truly confirm, but I feel these signs are enough).

If anyone has taken Clomid before, what dose did they start you on? I feel it’s a little extreme to go straight to 100 mg but I’m not sure because I have no experience with this.

Before anyone says, “ask your doctor”— well, clearly she thinks 100mg is the correct dosage or she wouldn’t have prescribed it. Plus, I didn’t get to see her for the script. I did all my testing and then the front desk called me and told me the prescription they were sending over to the pharmacy and how to take it. That was it.

Ps. And if you do have twins, how many milligrams were you on?
