can i ovulate late ?

Hi
I had positive opk on Sunday April 10th at 7pm. I visited doctor for an ultrasound on Tuesday evening  and i told him I had positive opk two days ago. He said i  didn’t ovulate yet but i’m very close and about to.
 I’m asking, it is normal to ovulate more than 48hours after a positive opk ? Does ovulation occur only between morning and 7pm? Or it doesn’t matter the time and you can O during the night

Yourw expected to ovulate 12-36 hours after a positive opk. BUT it's possible to get a positive opk and not ovulate at that point but go on to ovulate later on in your cycle. Opks don't confirm ovulation - they just pick up on the LH surge that happens before ovulation.
In order to confirm when you ovulate you need to bbt chart alongside opks

I believe you can Ovulate up to 72 hours after a positive Opk at any time of day.
