Baby Julius is here!!

I’m so happy it’s my turn to be able to give my birth announcement!! Julius Xavier was born 04/20 @ 12:14 AM. 21 inches long and weighed 8.4 lbs
I had gone to the hospital around 12 pm on the 19th for inconsistent contractions. Ive been having them for over a week. I had my bloody show 2 days prior and I know my body best. This was my 3rd pregnancy and with my priors I had never consistent contractions and I know I couldn’t rely on it. I guess my fear just like every mom is being caught too late and having the baby at home or for my case without the epidural lol. Over the week I had gone to L&D every 2 days and they kept telling me to wait until it was closer since I wasn’t dilating.
On the morning of the 19th I was taking my usual morning naps and I had 3 contractions in my sleep that were pretty painful but spaced very apart. I decided to time them. They were 15-17 min apart more painful than the others Ive had but not growing intense. I knew something was off because I’ve had a very painful pregnancy. My back, hips and everything else hurt. That morning I felt great there were no pains.
When I had gone to the hospital for the 5th time to be evaluated 😬 they were getting ready to send me home AGAIN. I was still dilated at 2cm. I was super upset that I was crying because I just knew this was it. As I’m getting ready to head out with my husband and I grabbed for the door my water broke!!!
They admitted me immediately and were keeping an eye on the contractions. I had already warned them my body doesn’t get consistent and I’ve had Pitocin with all my others. They waited 2-3 hours and saw nothing was happening and the contractions were very spaced. They started me on Pitocin and by 5pm I was only 3 cm but the contractions were coming in very strong. They allowed me to have the epidural so I got it early. By 11:45 pm it was time for him to come and he made his grand entrance at 12:14 am. The entire labor process was so easy and a lot less traumatic then my last one since I had to be stuck with the epidural 3 times and it kicked in very late.
The entire team was great and my nurses birthday was the same as Julius which was 4/20 which was amazing! While I was in between contractions We would joke and laugh and when the doc saw his head coming out she was playing with it and making his hair into a mohawk!! 😂
While I’m in recovery now it hasn’t been the smoothest since they had to do a CT scan and diagnosed me with Pubic Symphsis. Other than my recovery this has been the best birth yet and has me thinking about another pregnancy 🤗😂
