As a black woman it has always been competition btw light skin vs dark skin. The light skin is better due to the stigma of long hair, pretty eyes, nice body etc. Ive been told and have friends that been told “im pretty for a darkskinned girl” like wtf does that even mean?! Its always going to be a division since some lightskin women have a arrogant demeanor that they are better than us.  all women are beautiful and unique in their own way but it’s something about that bgm that brings out a different feel.

I honestly don't think I have a clue? And I am afraid to comment because I am very white. I wouldn't want to offend anyone.
But sure, I will guess. 
I think it probably depends where they live, 
My guess for America is something like lighter skinned, thin, has hair extensions or hair done regularly, clear skin, uses lashes, does the edges of her hair so they are flat to her face? 
I don't think it's a fair beauty standard if this is right? I really don't like beauty standards, because we just all look different and I don't see why only one type of thing could be beautiful. I don't believe that's how beauty actually works. 
I'd imagine the messages I've picked up on the beauty standard for black women aren't always the same as within black communities, however. Someone black told me about the light skin thing.
