Birth Story- Induction at 38weeks

Lily

Hello lovelies,

It’s finally my turn to tell y’all my delivery story. I was induced at 38 weeks because of gestational diabetes. Friday 22nd around 9am I went to hospital. They inserted the foley balloon around 12pm. It was very painful and just too much pressure. I walked all day with it and around 9pm they removed it and I was 5cms open. After they broke my water I asked for G&A. Once I reached 7cms after 3 hrs, I asked for epidural. It was a life saver for me. Can’t thank it enough. I got some much needed rest before midwife checked me at 6am and I was at 10 cms. Started pushing with the contractions and my baby was born at 7.20am Saturday. I got a second degree tear because my son’s hand was near his face. I was too scared of labour and delivery but everything went well. Can’t thank enough all the lovely midwives and doctors who looked after me.
