Belly button piercing at 4 months pp?

So I'm 4 months postpartum and really struggling with the way my body is now. I want a belly button piercing to bring some confidence back. The only thing putting me off is how it would heal with a little wriggling 4 month old! Any advice on how to protect it if I do go ahead or any other advice is appreciated! Thank you❤️

That baby will be crawling all over you for two years. Plus, I don’t know about you, but I’d want my belly back in shape and mine wasn’t at 4 months. You do you. IMHO, not a good idea

I will say as someone who already has a belly button piercing, I have not put my in yet at 3 months PP other than occasionally to keep the hole open because my skin is still going back to its normal thickness and location and because the ring just pulls attention to that area which I don’t want more of 😵‍💫 plus getting it pierced HURT I can’t imagine if It had been knocked or rubbed by a baby while healing. I vote wait or go for a piercing somewhere else

I would save that piercing dream for when you’re done with having kids. Everything stretches . I wish I had never had mine done

I can't speak on getting it pierced at 4 months pp but I know how you feel. After both my pregnancies I wanted mine back in after about a month bc it looked better to me, but mine was already healed and had for many years. I don't think getting it would be the issue it's the fact you have to heal and it will be very tender for a while

I personally wouldn’t. Those are a hassle to care for and nobody is really looking either. I’d do like a hair touch up or something. I’m struggling with my new body too at 7 weeks pp
