Gentle parenting

So I am genuinely curious how exactly gentle parenting works. I am trying to do what I’ve seen from people online that talk about it but I wanna know everything there is so we can succeed with this method! I don’t want my child to feel like their feelings don’t matter or be scared of us. What do you do when no matter what they will not listen or are just throwing a huge huge tantrum and won’t calm down? Every bit of information is helpful! Thank you!!
