help!! am i getting attached quickly??
okay so i have been talking to this guy for over a month. we have hung out several times and he is overall a really good guy. has a job, his own place, his own things, and takes care of himself & bills without any help. which i find very attractive and impressive that a guy like that could like me. anyways he’s the first guy i have liked and talked to since me and my ex broke up in the beginning of february. (which ended badly). anyways today we were talking and he told me i got too attached to him too quickly. which i didn’t realize. we talked things out and everything seems okay, but i thought he felt the same way?? he doesn’t text or call often but he says that’s just how he is so it’s whatever, but he just says things to make me think hes really into me. he cuddles with me, buy me little things and it was even his idea to delete our dating apps one night when we were hanging together. AND he was talking about going on a trip together next month(not far but just like a weekend trip a few hours away). and i understand we haven’t been talking for a really long time, but when someone treats me like that i like to match energy. like am i legitimately getting attached too quickly bc of my own issues or would anyone else feel the same if a guy treated them like that?
also, i know that getting attached quickly can be caused by being “abandoned” by a parent you really needed as a child. my mother left us when i was just becoming a teen which was a time i really needed her. and i’m going to therapy and dealing with that issue but i really thought i wasn’t getting clingy that quick. i was just reciprocating how i thought he felt about me. if that makes sense…
put yourself in my shoes i need advice please :)
