Discoloration in tooth?

This was the best picture I could get but I see some discoloration in my sons tooth near the gum line. Is this normal? I brush his teeth twice a day.

I'm not sure. But with his teeth coming in there is nothing wrong with making a dentist appointment as it's recommended to make the first one within 6 months of their first teeth or their first birthday whichever comes first. Is he taking a bottle or feeding overnight? If so are you brushing or wiping his mouth down after? It can be a pain in the ass but when my daughter had her teeth come in at 8 months the dentist said to brush it wipe her mouth if she fed overnight to ensure any sugar from the milk didn't linger on her teeth.
