When will they measure baby again? 26 weeks

Hey guys so I’m 26 weeks and they haven’t measured baby since like 19.5 weeks when I had my anatomy scan . How do I know if baby is in track? I always feel like my Bump should be bigger considering I’m 6 months , and already had a belly beforehand . It’s barely grown lol. 
At the anatomy scan everything was right on track .
I can feel his kickers and kicks way more prominently now so i know he is growing , but why don’t they measure the baby anymore ?

Heya this is something that has crossed my mind too and also the best practice guidelines say no scan needed unless high risk/clinically indicated - even modern medicine (at times) backs the idea that our bodies will do what is necessary to keep our bubba healthy and growing

With my daughter my last ultrasound was at 20 weeks and that was my last one. Everything was perfectly normal so there was no need for any additional scans

I had my anatomy scan at 21 weeks and will have one more growth scan at 32 weeks since that’s how they do it where I go and they should check to make sure baby isn’t breech. Ask your OB and express your concerns, hopefully you’ll be able to get another scan!

Because after 20 weeks babies grow very rapidly and some grow at LOT and others grow a little more slowly so there isn't really a "guideline" to match them to. It's just easier to track their progress through fundal height. If your uterus isn't growing as it should they'll order another US to check babies growth progress to see what's up. The only women I know who get more ultrasounds after the anatomy scan are the high risk pregnancies.

I would like to know that as well! 
The office told me they would be measuring the length of my belly, instead of a scan to check if I am on track.. only if that seems to indicate +/-2weeks off is when they will order a growth scan 😢

My office doesn’t do another ultrasound after the 20 week anatomy scan unless there are signs of distress. They measure my uterus height at appointments and if it stays about on track and I have no other issues then it’s standard not to. This is even a high risk OB but he won’t do that unless it’s warranted.

If you are under 35 then they probably wont measure via ultrasound. They will keep checking baby with doppler for heartbeat which tells most of the health status (vs estimates on ultrasounds that ARE just estimates). They might also have already started measuring your uterus. For some women even if you arent showing the uterus (and baby) is still growing. My midwife has me lie down, check for heartbeat then they measure with a classic measuring tape from pelvis to top of uterus. It is weird accurate that the centimeters line up with the gestational growth.
If you are over 35 you will likely have an ultrasound around 32-35 weeks to confirm baby position. Over 35 is considered high risk and most insurance covers an extra ultrasound. 
But biggest thing is: have a heartbeat then on track!

Measured via ultrasound? They maybe won't. In many places its common to not get another after your anatomy scan. Some doctors will do ultrasounds much closer to your due date to check positioning but they usually order growth scans only if there is a concern with your fundal height or weight gain.
