Mom keeps insisting that my baby looks like her

This is the most minor of offenses, but it’s starting to annoy me. My parents are visiting us for the first time since baby was born a year ago. They live in CA and we are currently in NC. We have a strained relationship for many reasons I won’t go into, but they adore the baby and she loves them and that makes me very happy.

This is entirely minor, but my mom keeps insisting that my baby looks just like her. She won’t stop taking about it. All her friends tell her the same, she says, and proceeds to list the features that my baby and her have in common. “How did you get such a beautiful child? But who does she resemble? Not you or . She looks like me!” And on and on. I roll my eyes and let her have the satisfaction, but it’s weird. Right? Is that weird behavior?

For what it’s worth, I think she looks like a combination of me and my partner, partner thinks she looks like me. But ultimately I really don’t care who she resembles. I just think my mom is acting weirdly narcissistic.
