Different last names?

Anyone have kids with the same father but different last names? I’m married but kept my name. It’s important to me to keep my last name going, so me and my husband have agreed any boys will be with my last name and girls with his. He refuses to change his last name or hyphen his.

I personally would never choose that, I think that would be so confusing for the kids and make paperwork more difficult. But it doesn’t matter what I think, what matters is what you both agree to as a couple and whatever works for you is fine

Idk about that. What about hyphenating all of the kids’ last names? That way, each kid has the same last name and they have both of your last names without either of you (you and hubby) changing yours.

We have out boys both our last names, without a hyphen, so ensure that both names don't stop with them.
