Cervix position

Ok, I'm new at this and have been monitoring my CP. Yesterday i noticed (sorry if this is tmi) the walls are soft, and I can feel this little thing quite low down barely have to reach in and was firm. It feels like a tip of a penis when erected so to speak. What does this mean? I don't know if it was open or closed!!
