Should I transition to toddler bed or buy another crib?

My daughter will be 2.5 when baby #2 is here. I can’t decide if I should get another crib or transition her to a toddler bed. When we brought our daughter home she hateddd the crib. She was up a lot and when she turned 1motnh we placed her in crib on a whim and she started sleeping through the night since the day we did it. (minus when shes sick or teething). So I’m hoping to do the same with baby #2. I’m also nervous that if we transition to toddler bed that she will be up and running around… her room is within our room it’s in a office/nursery.
