Over a week late negative and then positive?

Question

Has anyone been a week late for your period and gotten negatives for over a week then eventually got a positive? I’m late. I’m never late. I am currently 8 days late but ovulation could be off due to a couple factors. 
Has anyone tested everyday and finally got a positive after a week or so?

.  I'm 8days late also .. never late except by1+1- a day ..... I read a post the other day a lady was 11days late and her test was super faint . So hope that gives u a bit of hope ... u / we could of ovulated later  caused us not to get that positive  yet....  .. ita driving me  crazy all I can do is just wait it out .. we're not out till the bloody lady sings .. have  a lovely  day
