Am I being unreasonable? Morning sickness!

S

I have a family member (my father in law) staying who has been staying with us now for 4 weeks. He travelled from Europe to the US so is staying a while to spend time with his grandchild. He did not know I was pregnant before coming but was happy at the news on arriving. I was only 6 weeks at that time but very nauseous and tired (twin pregnancy) so I felt I needed to share.

It is now the last week of his stay and his wife has joined him before leaving. I am really struggling with morning sickness, all day long, the smell of garlic, chilli and onions currently are my triggers. I asked if we could avoid these but he is mostly concerned that there is little without this that appeals to him or his wife.

I left the kitchen to go upstairs after rushing to finish a sandwich I made for dinner as he started to prep as he was worried his wife was hungry. He is currently frying onions, chills and garlic to make dinner for everyone else downstairs. Am I justified to be angry, and upset that my husband has said nothing to his father? He left him oust me from my own kitchen. I realise pregnancy makes the best of us incredibly irrational so looking for perspective. I just don’t think it was very considerate at all.
